What information do we gather?

Automatic information: we automatically collect general data to allow creation of website statistics, such as page impressions, but this data cannot be used to track the movements of any individual user on the website.

Information that you provide to us: generally, your use of this website does not require you to provide any personal information. However, in certain circumstances where we do ask for your personal information, for example when becoming a member of 'SEGA PASS', we do collect and process such personal information in accordance with the explanation below.

When do we collect personal information?

Data collection on SEGA websites can occur in a number of different ways, including, but not limited to:

  1. Registration to 'SEGA PASS' via Sega-Europe.com, Sonic-City.com or any other SEGA website where a registration process is provided;
  2. Entering a competition, survey or other direct data capture channel;
  3. Speaking with one of SEGA's product support operatives;
  4. Registering with SEGA's online product support service.
What do we do with such personal information?

The personal information you supply will be stored by SEGA in its contact database and certain information may be aggregated with other information to enable SEGA to understand more about the profiles of the users in order to help improve the website and SEGA's products. By becoming a member you consent to receive from us by e-mail our e-newsletter and details of other special offers or promotions which we may think may be of interest to you.

SEGA will not share your personal information with third-party companies or organisations unless your consent has first been given.

How are Cookies used on this website?

This web site and others operated by SEGA use cookies. These store a string of unique numbers on your hard drive which allow only the SEGA website to identify you as a member of 'SEGA PASS'. Cookies are not required for the site to work but will enhance your experience. We do not store any personal data in these cookies, just a unique number that identifies you to us.

If you do not wish to use cookies you are able to disable them via your browser settings. For more information on this procedure it is recommended that you contact the developer of your browser.

Changing and modifying the information we store about you

If at any time you wish to amend the information held by SEGA, simply log in to the SEGA website and change your information by clicking Edit Profile at the top right of the homepage.

If you forget your password simply enter your email address and it will be sent to you. For your security SEGA recommends that you do not use a simple password that will be easy for others to guess.

Your rights

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information that SEGA holds about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected at your request. Downloading from this website

SEGA downloads are made available to you for your personal, non-commercial use only.

All websites created using assets supplied by SEGA are to be hosted at your own arrangement. SEGA is not liable for any costs associated with the creation, hosting and maintenance of websites created. SEGA will not provide support for any websites created.

By downloading you agree that all items downloaded will not be used on any website (or in conjunction any media, both on and offline) deemed by SEGA to be false, misleading, misrepresenting, discriminatory, racist, obscene, libellous, offensive, illegal, defamatory, inappropriate, invasive, or in breach of any copyright, trade mark, or other intellectual property rights.

Uploading Material to our Site

By submitting Content you grant to SEGA an irrevocable worldwide indefinite license for use of the Content, both on and offline, including use for promotional purposes.

You warrant that all Content uploaded by you is not discriminatory, racist, obscene, libellous, offensive, illegal, defamatory, inappropriate, invasive, or in breach of any copyright, trade mark, or other intellectual property rights and you indemnify us for any breach of that warranty.

Viruses, Hacking and other Offences

COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS

This competition is organised by SEGA Europe Ltd of 27 Great West Road, Brentford, Middlesex, TW8 9BW ("SEGA").

Entrants must be members of ‘SEGA Pass’ to submit entries to the competition (‘The Competition’). Registration to ‘SEGA Pass’ can be completed on sega-europe.com or on sonic-city.com. Full terms and conditions can be found on the website.

Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules, and the instructions detailing how to enter, and to agree to be bound by them when submitting their response.

Players must supply correct e-mail details and comply with all rules to be eligible for the prizes.

To submit any user generated content ("Content") to the Competition entrants must be in possession of the copyright of the Content and no third party must own any rights in the Content. By submitting Content to The Competition all entrants grant to SEGA an irrevocable worldwide indefinite license for use of the Content, both on and offline, including use for promotional purposes.

Any Content uploaded must not be discriminatory, racist, obscene, libellous, offensive, illegal, defamatory, inappropriate, invasive, or in breach of any copyright, trade mark, or other intellectual property rights.

All entries involving Content will be vetted before being published online by Sega. Sega will not publish any Content it deems unsuitable. Sega's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Sega does not take responsibility for any prizes that may be lost or damaged in transit to the winners' addresses. No additional/alternative prizes will be sent to winners in the event of non-receipt of the original prize.

Only entries made using Sega's electronic form within the competition section will be accepted, other formats/methods of submission will not be accepted.

Only completed entries received by the specified competition closing date (which is United Kingdom date and time) will be eligible for entry into the prize draw. Only submissions fulfilling requirements as detailed in the competition description will be eligible for consideration for entry into the draw for prizes.

Sega does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries.

Entrants must be European residents. Sega retains the right to refuse any entry. Please do not enter in countries/regions where it is contrary to current local legislation.

Minimum age to enter is 13 but persons under 18 years of age must obtain permission of the telephone and internet account holder to enter.

The number of prizes as specified in the competition description will be drawn at random from all the fully completed entries, each winner selected will receive a prize as stated on the competition page. Only one entry per person is permitted.

The winners will be notified by email after the closing date to obtain address information. Winners must reply and provide a suitable delivery address within 14 days of the notification email being sent. If no reply is received within 14 days SEGA will assign the prize to an alternative winner.

Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. There will be no cash or alternative prizes offered. Any taxes incurred as a consequence of winning will be the responsibility of the winner.

The competition is not open to employees or contractors of Sega, or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organisation or running of the competition or their direct family members.

Winners may be required to take part in promotional activity and Sega reserves the right to use the names and addresses of winners, their photographs and audio and/or visual recordings of them in any publicity or promotional activities.

Sega cannot be held responsible for any network problems, phone line faults or other errors or faults of any kind whilst the user is competing online. Sega shall not be liable in any way whatsoever for any failure or breach by any third party whose services or networks you utilise in participating in this competition.

Sega's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Sega reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or these rules at any time without prior notice.
